We are a Vacation Resort nestled in the heart of Central Florida on beautiful, sand bottom Lake Clay. Lakeside Cottages is located midway between Orlando, Tampa and Miami and is a historic resort where time stands still and the beauty and tranquility of Old Florida survives. As one of the longest term resorts in the Lake Placid area, the current owners have paid special attention to preserve the “Old Florida” charm, yet provide updated, clean units for daily, weekly and seasonal rentals. During our recent renovation, the highest priority has been to maintain the natural environment and “earthy” appeal that the resort has been known for over the previous 60 years.

Lakeside Cottages, formerly Dee's Lake Cottages, is a 5 acre retreat, directly on the sandy shores of crystal clear Lake Clay. Bass fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing and family fun is just the beginning of your vacation at this secret yet renowned local hideaway.

A private sandy beach and fishing pier on the resort offer guests an opportunity to enjoy the waterfront lifestyle. Power and sail boats, jet skis, canoes and kayaks are all welcome on Lake Clay. Or, you may want to just lay back under the shade of our century-old oak trees hanging with Spanish moss, read a good book or enjoy the wildlife and peaceful outdoors, the way Old Florida used to be.
